There's a paid Facebook Group I'm in that I occasionally ask for feedback from on my marketing ideas... particularly when it comes to my webinars.
I'm currently testing a core message, and asked the Facebook Group for feedback on four variations of the message.

β"...I'm not a retreat host but I've thought about them in the past... my feedback would be that 'a plan' isn't really enticing enough for you to make me want to invest in your offer. I've likely already planned it in my head...I used to have all the modules and daily schedule ready and would go and pick cool house locations. But I think the reason I never really bothered is because I never thought I'd be able to sell enough spots so it would be too much work. Then I became a mum and retreats are just impossible for me now until my kids are much older."β

ππ½ She's NOT the right person to give me feedback.
- She literally states she's not a retreat host.
- Planning in her head π€¦πΌββοΈ... this is exactly why I created a Profitable Retreat Planning course. Because anyone that comes to me with their plan in their head is a nightmare to work with and not our ideal client. I'm not interested and will send them to do the course.
- She thinks marketing is 'too much work'.
That's not someone who wants to be successful in business.
At first glance she may look like an ideal client. But based on what we know, have heard from interviews, our course students and experienced with customers: She isn't.
Do you know your ideal client so well, that you can pick if they're good ears for feedback or not?

βπ£ Some say give your clients what they want, and deliver what they need.
Sometimes it's just better to know who your ideal client really is.
I'm happy to leave those who aren't our ideal client to swim circles in their own confusion and delusions until the penny drops to what they actually need. There's plenty of people out there who definitely do!
