I'll no longer listen to business advice or teachings from anyone who's clearly unhealthy.

Why?

Because business is not worth your life.​

Your health is your wealth. If you end up in hospital or you can't get out of bed to operate 'the business you love'- you've got nothing... so what's the point? As a qualified Psychosomatic Therapist who couldn't get out of bed I know:

1. You don't get sick for no reason.
2. Your immune system and every cell in your body is effected by how you feel and think.

There's plenty of science and research on this topic.

It's also no secret I've had a pretty bad trot the last 3 years - with peri-menopause, depression and then finally a debilitating herniated disc with severe sciatica (all very common mind you), where I couldn't sit at my desk for more than 20mins.

I'm not immune to the effects of ignoring red flags, or that feeling of loving what you do - but deep down you know, the reason it's not working is because the business model (Business Sacral Chakra energy) isn't actually making you happy... the idealism of it is.

There are so many ways you can earn an income doing what you love, in a way that you love.

Below are 3 questions I asked myself to turn things around.

3 Q's to Start Anew:

These are so simple - but it works, and so many business owners run wildly off-track by following unhealthy business advice, forgetting them.

1. What do people naturally keep asking you to help them with?
2. What are you really good at?
3. What do you love doing?

1. What do people naturally keep asking you to help them with?​
   ​Pay attention to patterns of what people ask you. At first you may not want to deal with what they're asking you! I used to ignore questions about retreats in Bali all the time - because I didn't want my energy taken away from 'what I loved'....
   ​
   ... I surrendered to the low hanging fruit of weekly retreat questions and asked myself, how could I make this work for me? Now I have the Bali Retreat Broker and it's kicked off with a bang!

2. What are you really good at?
   ​Organising, marketing, selling, networking, customer service, writing, numbers, speaking, teaching, big picture thinking, the finer details - the list goes on...​
   ​
   ​... what do you already have experience in and are really good at? Your whole life experience and expertise has lead you to this exact moment 📍 I was totally ready to launch the Bali Retreat Broker quickly based on my 10+ years of business experience. Writing, selling and marketing are strengths of mine.

3. What do you love doing?
   ​Just because you can do something and you're good at it - doesn't mean you have to love it. This is a trap and loop that so many get stuck in (including me!). I'm great at creating websites - do I want to do that all day every day? No!
   ​
   ... What's the one or two skillsets that if you had to do it consistently every day, you'd easily jump out of bed to do it (hint: keep this super simple). If it's all you had to do every day for 4hrs hours, there'd be no snooze button or feeling like a deadweight and forcing yourself out of bed.
   ​

👉🏽 Now: Know your weaknesses.

Analyse your past in a non-judgemental way. Get curious. Where have you gone wrong in terms of holding your own success back? We all do it - successful people simply identify it. The trip-line for me has been pricing, consistency and delegating work.​
